Someone approached Junaid Baghdadi, a famous Sufi, and lamented the scarcity of companions. “Where am I to find a companion in Allah?” asked the man.
Junaid Baghdadi made him repeat this three times before replying:
“If you want a companion to provide for you and to bear your burden, such, by my life, are few and far between. But if you want a companion in Allah whose burden you will carry and whose pain you will bear, then I have a troop that I can introduce you to.”
The man was silent.
